Parks & Recreation
Prior to 1980, the people of Elwood used the ball park behind the old Elwood church for recreation. When this property was sold, property was donated by Raymond M. Hansen for the construction of Hansen Park. Work on the park began in 1982 and was completed largely through volunteer labor.
The Elwood Town Parks and Recreation Department provides park facilities and programs to accommodate the needs and interests of local residents and visitors. Whether you are into sports, nature or just want to take your children to the playground, the Elwood Town is the place for you.
